- Eat at the Bangkok floating market
Eat the streets: Explore Thailand’s spicy food: I really am not a huge fan of Thai food, because I’m picky and I hate vegetables (I know shame on me). But I had a number of amazing Thai dishes with such rich flavors and spices. Spicy Beef Basil was one of my favorites!
Drink Cocktails at a Bangkok sky bar: At the top of the Lebua at State Tower is a sky bar made famous by the Hangover 2 movie. It truly is a sight to see, but be aware these might be the most expensive cocktails you have in Thailand!
Drink an infamous bucket: This is how they do alcohol in Thailand! You can find almost any drink you like served in what looks like a kids sand bucket with about 10 straws! Be prepared to be hanging the next day.
- Attend Loy Krathong in Chiang Mai
Dance the night away at the Full Moon Party: Before heading to Thailand, I heard countless people tell me I need to experience the Full Moon Party. And now I’m here telling you. Any party goer needs to go to the Full Moon Party! Biggest beach party ever!
Shop at the Chatuchak weekend market: Rows and rows and rows of clothes, house goods, souvenirs and more. The Chatuchak market is the perfect place to get inexpensive finds from Thailand.
Be in awe of the Grand Palace: I don’t know why I had no expectations for the Grand Palace, but oh my goodness was I impressed! Every inch of these temples were ornately decorated. Anyone who loves art or architecture needs to visit!
- Take an Ayutthaya day trip
- Chase waterfalls at Erawan National Park
- Mae Ya Waterfall at Doi Inthanon National Park Chiang Mai
See James Bond Island: Adventuring to and around James Bond Island is such a cool thing to do. You will be surrounded by these gigantic limestone cliffs. Kayaking around this area makes you feel like you are in a scene from a movie!
- Scuba Dive in Koh Tao
Island hop to Koh Phi Phi: Probably the most fun I had in Thailand was boating to these islands. Every view was picture perfect.
- AoPhang-nga National Park
- See the 3 connecting island of Koh Nangyun
Stay at a luxury villa: Villas are the way to go in Thailand. Head to airbnb.com to find hundreds of villas at reasonable rates! We stayed at this beautiful 3 store villa in Koh Samui!
Indulge in a relaxing massage: Foot massage, Thai massage, oil massage, body scrub, I had it all! You can find a massage place anywhere in Thailand, and the prices are too good to refuse! 200 baht- 250 baht can get a one hour treatment. Thats around 5-7 US dollars!
- Play with elephants at Elephant Nature Park
Pet tigers at Tiger Kingdom: This was so awesome! I was too afraid to go and pet the big tigers, but I built up the courage to spend some time with the tiger cubs.
What’s on your Thailand Bucket List that you think I should add to mine?!
